NELL LAWRENCE

Nell Lawrence, 79, LaFayette road, died of natural causes at 11:11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at Christian Health Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with Revs. John R. Christian and Dan Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A native of Trigg County, she was born June 21, 1924. She was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Mildred Hendricks Finley. She was employed for many years in the cutting department at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she was in the Golden Sunshine Club and taught many years for the LLL class. Her first husband, the Rev1. Clyde E. Aldridge, died in 1973. A son, Michael Aldridge, died in 2001.

Survivors include her current husband, The Rev. Bob Lawrence; four brothers, Mason Finley and Sonny Finley, both of Hopkinsville, Pete Finley, Florida, and Lonnie Finley, Georgia; and a sister Mabel McNeil, Wisconsin.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of donations to the vision fund at Second Baptist Church.1
