     Peter II le Brus was born circa 1181 in Skelton, Yorkshire, England.³ He married Hawise de Lancaster, daughter of Gilbert FitzReinfrid and Hawise de Lancaster.³ Peter died on 7 September 1241 in Marseilles, France.³

     Roger le Brus was probably born in Skelton, Yorkshire, England, circa 1184.¹ Roger died after 1237.¹

     Thomas le Brus was born circa 1186.¹

     Peter III le Brus was probably born in Skelton, Yorkshire, England, circa 1209.² He married Hilary de Mauley, daughter of Piers de Mauley and Isabel de Turnham.² Peter died without issue on 18 September 1272.²

     1255-1272, Peter de Brus released to William Stirkelaunde and Elizabeth his wife their lands of Rowewurt from puture of his land serjeants, both at horse and foot, and of his foresters at horse and foot and from witnesman, except 40 a. land which lie ouside their park, which acres shall do the service which belongs to so much land in the dame vill; D. at Sizergh.³

     1259-60, Peter de Brus grants to William de Pykering the manor of Killington, to hold with the sauvaigne, but saving to the grantor for life liberty of the chase in the said manor, except in the enclosed land, for a pair of gilt spurs and the service of one twentieth fee; with liberty to the said William to pursue the game beyond the bounds of Killington, as far as the limits of that part of the forest of the Hay which belongs to William de Lindesay etc. Witnesses: John de Burton, knt., Gilbert de Berebrun, Thomas de Lancastre, Ralph de Patton, Nicholas de Ninesergh, Thomas de Derlay, Richard de Croke; Nicolson and Burn, i, 262.³

     1279, Thomas son of William de Pikering held one tenth fee in Frithebbanck and Killington [of the heirs] of Peter de Brus; Cal. Inq., ii, 190.³

     1274, In an extent made on Monday after the quindene of Holy Trinity, 2 Edward I (11 June, 1274) of the lands of Robert de Ros, the jurors say that he held at his death inter alia the forests of Ridale with Satsondoff and Becmelbrid and Carkerdale worth £14 13s. 4d. yearly.      1297, Confirmation of a charter of Margaret de Ros granting in fee simple to Marmaduke de Twenge, her nephew, the manor of Helsington with the demesne there, the meadow, park, mill and tenants of Helsington, with the hamlets of Crosthwayt and Le Lyth, Aynerholum, Stavelay [with] the manor and park, Greesemer and Langeden, the island of Rogerholum and the fishery of Wynandermer, Sattegyll, Rispeton, Gauerbank and Hogayl (except 2 tenants), with the mills of said hamlets, a moiety of the mill of Rispeton, and certain advowsons in co. Lancaster, a moiety of the fees, rents and services of free men belonging to her on the inheritance of Peter de Brus, her brother, a moiety of the vill of Kirkeby in Kendale and a moiety of the profit of that vill and of her free court there, of the fishery of Le Fors and of the woods of Haye, Severgh, Threlesgrope, Mountjowe and Brendewode, except 45 a. of the demense of Helsington; Cal.      1301, Margaret de ros granted by fine to Marmaduke de Twenge a free rent in routheworth, and to William de Ros, her son, land in Grenerig with a mill and rents in Conyngeswyke, Brathelake and Tranthewayt; Lanes. Fines, pt. i, 215.³

     1307, Margaret de Ros long before her death gave to her son, William de Ros, inter alia the hamlet of Grenrige with the mill; Cal. Inq., IV, 285.³

     Agnes le Brus was probably born in Skelton, Yorkshire, England, circa 1215.² She married William III de Lancaster, son of Gilbert FitzReinfrid and Hawise de Lancaster.³ Agnes le Brus married Walter de Fauconberge.¹ Agnes died before May 1279.¹

     In 1247, dower was assigned to Agnes late the wife of William de Lancaster by writ dated 22nd February; to Peter de Brus the manor of Kirkeby for chief messuage and to Walter de Lindesy the manor of Warton for chief messuage; a partition of the residue of the lands of William de Lancaster was to be made in two equal portions.⁴

     Laderina le Brus was probably born in Skelton, Yorkshire, England, circa 1219.² She married John de Bella-Aqua.¹

     Lucy le Brus was born in 1216 in Skelton, Yorkshire, England.² She married Marmaduke de Thweng circa 1242.²

     Walter de Fauconberge married Agnes le Brus, daughter of Peter II le Brus and Hawise de Lancaster.² Walter died circa 2 November 1304.²

     Walter was also known as [Sir] Walter de Fauconberge.²

     Anice de Fauconberge was born circa 1275.¹ Anice died after 1323.¹

     John de Bella-Aqua was born circa 1237.³ He married Laderina le Brus, daughter of Peter II le Brus and Hawise de Lancaster.³ John died in 1301.²

     Sibill de Bella-Aqua was born circa 1260.¹ Sibill died circa October 1301.¹

     Marmaduke de Thweng was born circa 1225.² He married Lucy le Brus, daughter of Peter II le Brus and Hawise de Lancaster, circa 1242.³ Marmaduke died circa 1283.³

     Robert de Thweng was born circa 1255.¹ Robert died circa March 1278/79.¹

     Robert de Ros married Margaret le Brus, daughter of Peter II le Brus and Hawise de Lancaster.² Robert died before 20 April 1274.³
