     In the Census of 1860 enumerated 24 July 1860, Jesse Lawrence was listed as a head of household in Asheboro, Randolph Co., North Carolina. He was listed at age 74, occupation as a farmer with no real estate value listed and personal estate value of $50, born in North Carolina. Also enumerated in the household: Ruth Lawrence, Elizabeth A. Lawrence and Eliza Hancock.³
