     There is a WPA marriage entry for Hendricks County, Indiana, that has an entry "Homer L. Morris, son of Albert Morris and Esther Lawrence, age 31 at next birthday, m. 17 Sep 1894. As Albert and Esther were not married until 1877, and Esther was born 1857, it would be unlikely that Homer is her son. Was he perhaps adopted?¹

     I have found a 1900 U. S. Census record for Grant County, Indiana that shows Albert and Ester Morris as boarders in the household of Kirbey Ford, along with sons Curtis W., Homar L., and Paul E. This would indicated that the above marriage record is incorrect or is for another Homer L. Morris son of an Albert Morris and Esther Lawrence.

     Homer L. Morris was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census enumerated January 1920, in Ward 7, Richmond, Wayne Co., Indiana. He was listed at age 33, occupation as a teacher of economics, born in Indiana. Also enumerated in the household: Edna W. Morris.³
