     Mary Jane Williams was born in April 1840 in Alabama.2,3,4,5 She married William D. Bufford on 12 June 1863 in Perry Co., Alabama.1The 1900 U. S. Census indicated that Mary had eight children with seven living. The 1880 Census lists a son Hazza F. at age 12 who did not appear on the 1870 Census and if existed would make nine children for Mary. It's my belief that this was a recording error and the child may have been her daughter Maybeline. Also almost all of the ages for the children are incorrect on the 1870 Census.
