     William was a druggist for most of his life, but it got so the hours were too long for him. He quit the drug business and had a coal yard when he died.7

     In the Census of 1850 enumerated 18 October 1850, W. C. McMurry was listed as a head of household in Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed at age 30, occupation as a merchant, born in Tennessee. Also enumerated in the household: Elizabeth McMurry.2

     In the Census of 1860 enumerated 15 June 1860, William Clark McMurry was listed as a head of household in Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed at age 40, occupatin as a farmer with real estate value of $10,000 and personal estate value of $1000, born in Kentucky. Also enumerated in the household: Angeline Elizabeth McMurry, Ida Vanetta McMurry, Eliza McMurry and Ellen A. McMurry.4

     In the Census of 1870 enumerated 21 July 1870, William Clark McMurry was listed as a head of household in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was listed at age 51, occupation as a physcian with property value of $200, born in Kentucky. Hannah Elizabeth Sloan

     Hannah Elizabeth Sloan was born circa 1832 in New York.1,2,3,4 She married William Clark McMurry on 31 October 1848 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.5,6 Hannah died in July 1897.7 She was interred in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.7

     Hannah was also known as Angeline.

     In her younger days, Hannah was considered a belle of Nashville. She was pretty as an old lady also. She had rheumatism and was practically an invalid unable to get around.8

     Elizabeth McMurry was listed at age 18, born in New York, as a member of the household of W. C. McMurry in Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1850 enumerated 18 October 1850.1

     Eliza McMurry was listed at age 22?, born in New York, as a member of the household of William Clark McMurry in Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1860 enumerated 15 June 1860.2

     Hannah Elizabeth McMurry was listed at age 36, born in New York, as a member of the household of William Clark McMurry in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, in the Census of 1870 enumerated 21 July 1870.3

     In the Census of 1880 enumerated 3 June 1880, Anna Murry was listed as head of household in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee. She was listed at age 47, occupation as keeping house, born in Tennessee. Also enumerated in the household: Willie Murry, Lee Murry, Frank Murry and Bell Murry.4
