     Hattie M. Lawrence was born in May 1878 in Kentucky.^1,2,3 Conflicting evidence states that Hattie M. Lawrence was born circa 1874.⁴ She married French Dunn circa 1893.^1,3

     Helen Mae Lawrence was born in 1914.^1,2 She married Elliot Erickson Harold on 3 September 1961.² Helen died on 21 April 1981 in Plymouth, North Carolina.²

     Henry Lawrence was born in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Edey, daughter of Humphrey Edey.³ Henry died before 27 September 1739.

     On 19 October 1670, Henry and Elizabeth Lawrence received 350 acres on the N. W. branch of the Nansemond River from the will of Humphry Edey; 250 acres adjacent Mr. Robert Lawrence granted to the said Edey and 100 acres on an island adjacent a creek purchased by said Edey from Jno. Loyd.³

     Henry Lawrence was born circa 1831 in South Carolina.¹

     Henry Lawrence was born in 1725 in Nansemond Co., Virginia.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Standley circa 1749.³ Henry died on 31 July 1767 in Fredericksville, Louisa Co., Virginia.⁴

     

          Boddie identifies the Henry Lawrence that is listed on the Quit Rent Roll of 1704 as the Henry Lawrence son of the immigrant Robert Lawrence. I believe this is incorrect and that it is this Henry Lawrence son of George Lawrence who is listed with 200 acres in Nansemond County on the 1704 Quit Rent Roll.²
