     Georgia Mae Brown was born on 22 October 1877.¹ She married James Vail Deadwyler, son of George Washington Deadwyler and Texas A. Vail, on 3 May 1899 in Elbert Co., Georgia.¹ Georgia died on 22 July 1954 in Elbert Co., Georgia, at age 76.¹

     John Brown was born on 24 September 1831.¹ He married Phebe Caroline Rose, daughter of Elisha Rose and Unknown ?, on 17 January 1855 in Knox Co., Tennessee.^2,3,4 John died on 23 February 1893 at age 61.¹ He was interred in New Hopewell Baptist Cemetery in Kimberlin Heights, Knox Co., Tennessee.¹

     John William Kennedy Brown was born circa 1881 in Tennessee.^1,2 He married Bessie A. Harr, daughter of Edward Hunter Harr and Columbia Caroline Byerly, on 14 September 1907 in Blount Co., Tennessee.³ John died on 6 November 1948.⁴

     Johannes Broyles (Breuel) was born before 1 May 1679 in Dusslingen, Württemberg. Johannes was christened on 1 May 1679 in Dusslingen, Württemberg.¹ He married Ursula Ruop on 6 November 1703 in Ötisheim, Württemberg.¹ Johannes died circa 1734 in Madison Co., Virginia.

     One of the original members of the second Germanna colony of 1717, John Broyles was one of 19 colonists sued by Governor Spotswood in 1724 to keep them in indenture service. They were kept in indenture service for eight years, one year longer than the normal seven years. He proved his importation on 2 May 1727 stating that he had been accompanied by his wife, Ursely, and two children, Conrad and Elizabeth. Jacob Bryol swore under oath the same day that he had come to this country at the same time.

     John patented 400 acres on 24 June 1726 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia near property granted to other Germanna colonists. Less than eight years later his will was proved in Spotsylvania County on 5 February 1733/34. The will mentions his wife, sons, and daughters, but not by name. His will directed his property to be divided among his children after their mother's death. The Broyle's children consisted of Jacob, Conrad, Elizabeth who were mentioned when John proved is importation, and Catherine, wife of Adam Wilhite. Jacob's relationship to John Broyles is proven in a deed recorded 26 July 1744 in which Jacob and Conrad Briel sell 200 acres, being a part of the deceased John Broyl's patent dated 24 June 1726, and bequeathed to them by John Broyl.²
